The BaseGrille 900 series is an architectural grille designed for extra durability utilizing U-clip supports and a performance-centered bar profile. Manufactured in 304 or 316 stainless, SS-900 series offers a variety of styles and inserts: straight bar, curved bar, MonoScrape, Polybrush, Serrated Vinyl, and SlipNot bar. Available in 5/8”, ¾”, 7/8”, and 1-1/8”.

The BaseGrille 900 series features a complete stainless steel construction that makes a stunning first impression in entryways. The surface beams and cross struts are mechanically welded at each intersection to assure longevity and high quality appearance.

Product Details

  • Materials: Stainless steel – Type [304 or 316] stainless steel for surface wires and support bars.
  • Stainless Steel Grilles. Type [304 or 316] stainless steel per ASTM A
    276 available in depths of [SS-958 5/8” (15.9 mm), SS-934 3/4” (19.1 mm), SS-998 1-1/8”
    (28.6 mm)]. (Specifier to select one depth and delete others)
  • Construction: Floor Panels shall consist of precision spaced, mechanically interlocked
    profile wires and U-clip supports from Type 304 or 316 stainless steel. The traffic
    surface shall be of smooth performance bar shape with inwardly enlarging openings to
    minimize the likelihood of debris entrapment. The surface bars shall be Base Specialties,
    Inc. No. [SS-900, SS-900C, SS-900R]. The tread surface opening shall be [.140", .187"]
    inches. The open area for this opening shall be XX %. Opening size shall be controlled
    and continuously monitored during manufacture. The maximum opening between the
    wires is 3/16”. The direction of walking or flow must be perpendicular to the wire
    direction. The wires or supports may not line up over XX number of feet.
  • Lockdowns: (a) Hidden Slot Tabs with slotted holes type 304 stainless steel to secure
    screen to concrete surface. (b) Surface mounted hold downs. (c) EZ loc mounting tabs
  • Tread bars to be XXX and mechanically interlocked using a U-clip support structure and
    spaced [.140" (3.56mm), .187" (4.75mm)] apart
  • Inserts:
  • MonoScrapeTM HD Carpet Inserts shall meet the Carpet and Rug Institute’s standard
    for good indoor air quality. Fibers shall include a minimum of 100, 12 mil
    monofilament fibers per square inch and colorfast, solution dyed nylon. Available in
    one of 12 standard colors as offered by Manufacturer. Each polybrush carpet fiber
    and monofilament shall be fusion-bonded to a rigid two-ply backing to prevent
    fraying and supplied in continuous splice-free lengths. Carpet weight shall be 33
    oz./sq. yd.
  • MonoScrapeTM HD Carpet Inserts shall meet the Carpet and Rug Institute’s standard
    for good indoor air quality. Fibers shall include a minimum of 100, 12 mil
    monofilament fibers per square inch and colorfast, solution dyed nylon. Available in
    one of 12 standard colors as offered by Manufacturer. Each polybrush carpet fiber
    and monofilament shall be fusion-bonded to a rigid two-ply backing to prevent
    fraying and supplied in continuous splice-free lengths. Carpet weight shall be 33
    oz./sq. yd.
  • Polybrush Inserts shall be solution-dyed polypropylene fibers with 4,500 total
    denier, available in one of three standard colors as offered by the Manufacturer.
    The textured fibers have ultraviolet blockers and color as an integral part of the filament. Each carpet fiber and monofilament shall be fusion-bonded to a rigid two-ply backing to prevent fraying and supplied in continuous splice-free lengths. Carpet weight shall be 33 oz./sq. yd.
  • Vinyl Inserts shall include a flexible dual durometer vinyl insert in any one of three
    colors as offered by Manufacturer
  • SN- SlipNot metallic coating applied directly to surface of wire or to alternating
    strips of 1” stainless steel inserted between surface wires
  • Fasteners: Non-corrosive screws and anchors for securing frames together and to
    floors
  • Finish shall be Satin #4
  • Loading: The screen panels shall be designed for Ultimate Load of 300 psf
